August 15, 2017

It’s festival season, and there’s no shortage of summertime fun, especially on August 19th when the  Pawpaw Folk Festival comes to town. Hosted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Blue Ball Barn at Alapocas Run State Park on West Park Drive, the festival boasts a truly one-of-a-kind feel that all enjoy. A perfectly folky day, there will be chances to explore the permanent Delaware Folk Art Collection that call the Blue Ball Barn home, with over 50 artists on display at any given time.

Beyond that, there will be other local artisans selling their wares, incredible story tellers captivating audiences of all ages, performing artists serenading with their sweet melodies, and hands-on arts and crafts for families of all ages. When you work up an appetite with all the exploration, there will be plenty of food options to satisfy all palates. It’s sure to be a fun day, and admission is free with a paid park admission!
